END USES

As with the other austenitic steel types, AISI 316Ti can also be used for end uses where good formation must be coupled with excellent resistance to corrosion.

Compared to the more traditional AISI 316 and AISI 316L, the additional small percentage of Titanium makes the steel in this series particularly resistant to corrosion in welded zones (in particular pitting) even in particularly reducing environments, highly saline environments, etc. These peculiar characteristics make it particularly suitable for the paper industry and tanks for the chemical industry, submerged pumps, etc.
